Our ref: FOI-1952-2021/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 31 December 2020 asking for information about contractors in CSIRT.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
The number of contractors who were employed within the CSIRT from January 2020 - December 2020.
In total there were 22 contractors employed within CSIRT between January 2020 and December 2020.
The day rates for these contractors
Individual terms for contractors vary based on a number of factors and it would not be appropriate to disclose these, as this is personal information which is exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of the FOI Act. Disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
We can however advise that day rates for contractors in this business area range from £260 to £600.
Whether these contractors were inside or outside of IR35
All contractors currently employed within CSIRT are deemed outside of IR35 based on determinations provided by an independent assessment company.
Current number of contractors employed within the CSIRT
There are currently 23 contractors employed within CSIRT.
