You asked

I am writing to request information from your institution under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. If you are unable to answer any of the questions, or unable to do so within the time limit stipulated by the FOI Act, then please move on to the next possible question and provide as much data as you can. This request is to ascertain details regarding immigration enforcement and revenue protection inspectors. I request the following information: 1. An explanation of the full extent of collaboration between the Home Office and TfL. Additionally: 2. Do immigration enforcement officers ever accompany Revenue Control Inspectors (RCIs) and Revenue Protection Inspectors (RPIs) on their inspections? If yes, could you please provide: 3. An explanation of the role of the immigration enforcement officers play on the inspection 4. The number of times immigration enforcement officers have accompanied RCIs and RPIs since 2018 For each inspection, could you please provide: a. The bus stop name, route number and ward or local authority name where the inspection occurred b. Whether an arrest or a detainment was made by immigration enforcement officers Please may you also list all the data you hold about this collaboration.

Thank you for your request received on 7 September 2023 asking for information about immigration enforcement.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. You asked:
 
This request is to ascertain details regarding immigration enforcement and revenue protection inspectors. I request the following information:
 
1.         An explanation of the full extent of collaboration between the Home Office and TfL.
 
TfL engages with a range of government departments about a variety of matters – including operational and security issues. However we do not collaborate with the Home Office on immigration enforcement in our revenue protection work.
 
2.         Do immigration enforcement officers ever accompany Revenue Control Inspectors (RCIs) and Revenue Protection Inspectors (RPIs) on their inspections?
 
No.
 
If yes, could you please provide:
 
3.         An explanation of the role of the immigration enforcement officers play on the inspection The number of times immigration enforcement officers have accompanied RCIs and RPIs since 2018
4.         For each inspection, could you please provide:
a.         The bus stop name, route number and ward or local authority name where the  inspection occurred
b.         Whether an arrest or a detainment was made by immigration enforcement officers
 
Please may you also list all the data you hold about this collaboration.
 
I can confirm that immigration enforcement officers do not accompany TfL Enforcement Teams or other TfL Operational Teams.
