Explanation of why congestion charge postcodes are not publicly made available

Can you explain and provide any correspondance as to why TfL do not release a list of all postcodes in the Congestion Charge zone on an ongoing and/or regular basis? As a consequence, multiple ongoing FOI requests have to be made every few months for this information (FOI-1883-2021, FOI-0367-2122 etc)

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 24 November 2021 asking for information about correspondence on why TfL do not release a list of all postcodes in the Congestion Charge zone on an ongoing and/or regular basis.  
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

We do not hold any correspondence on the issue of publishing a list of post codes located in the Congestion Charging area as this has not been specifically discussed.

The post code list has not changed for the Congestion Charging zone (only for the recently expanded ULEZ) and there is no requirement for us to publish this information on a regular basis. There is a post code checker facility available on our website: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge/congestion-charge-zone?intcmp=2055

In addition, we publish our FOI responses on our website so the information is searchable and is considered to be published already.
