F/on from FOI-1699 Please can you supply the speed data for the sites for pre implementation and any speed data you have for after implementation

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 24 December 2020 asking for speed data.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Please find attached the speed survey data that was collected in advance of implementation of the 20mph speed limit on the TfL road network in Central London in March 2020. We collected data in three different months and they are all displayed on the same map. The map includes the 24 hour and 7pm-7am mean speed at each location.

Post-implementation data was scheduled to be collected in the same months in the subsequent year (June 2020, October 2020 and January 2021). This has not taken place due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We do intend to commission further speed surveys to measure the impact of the project, once traffic levels are not so different in Central London due to the pandemic.
