Thank you for your request asking for information about the lift at Liverpool Street Station.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:
1) What time did the LST lift go out of service before 14:00 3 Nov?
The lift was reported as being out of service to us at 11:00 on 3 November. We were notified that the lift was returned to service at 11:25 on 4 November.
2) Why was the website status for the lift not updated at 14:00?
When we advertise a lift as being out of service, the message has to be inputted on two systems. When a lift is returned to service, both entries must be cleared in order that the message is removed from the website. Unfortunately, in this instance, it appears that the second entry was not cleared and so the message continued to appear online.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused. We are investigating this issue further and are looking at ways to add an additional check to the process so we can prevent this occurring again.
