I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

We now proactively publish bus occupancy data online via the ‘BUSTO’ dataset, which is published on the TfL website via the following link: http://crowding.data.tfl.gov.uk/

The relevant file is titled 2023_24 MAX DEMAND HOUR BY ROUTE BY TIMEBAND All Routes.csv which provides information on the peak hourly demand for each day type and timeband, route, direction of travel and stop, for a typical weekday, Saturday and Sunday in autumn 2023, and is the most recent data that is available.

Within the folder there is also a PDF file (BUSTO User Guide and Data Dictionary v1.0.pdf) which provides useful information on how to interpret the data, along with any accompanying caveats.

In accordance with section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act, we are not required to provide the requested information because it is readily available elsewhere,

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
