All topographical assessments are conducted by TfL staff in a small number of accredited test centres. TfL approved centres have no responsibility for any part of the delivery of the assessment itself and merely provide the facilities and resources to candidates. TfL assessors are responsible for conducting the assessment, marking assessment papers, communicating scores to candidates and issuing a certificate.
In 2018, a total of 20,811 topographical assessments were conducted. In 2019, a total of 16,707 assessments were conducted (up to 23 August 2019).
How many of those passed in a) 2018 and b) 2019?
In 2018, 11,482 candidates passed a topographical assessment. In 2019, 8,292 candidates passed (up to 23 August 2019).
How many of those failed in a) 2018 and b) 2019?
In 2018, 9,329 candidates failed a topographical assessment. In 2019, 8,415 candidates failed (up to 23 August 2019).
