Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 November 2021 asking for information about staff currently employed to deliver our open data portal. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked: Can you advise how many staff you currently employ to deliver your open data portal please. Also, can you advise the breakdown include job roles/titles: e.g. x no. of data scientists x no. of web developers x no. of data analysts.
We don’t employ any staff specifically to work on the open data portal. We manage open data as part of our portfolio of digital products and work is prioritised for delivery by one of two development teams (who also work on other projects and products).
We can say however that when updates are made to the open data portal, the following roles are involved in delivery: -product managers -development scrum teams -data insight analyst
