In which of the 32 London Boroughs are dedicated school buses being provided by Transport for London? Broken down by London Borough, which schools are being served by TfL dedicated school buses? Broken down by London Borough, what is the cost of the TfL dedicated school bus service?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 October 2018 asking for information about dedicated school bus services operated by TfL.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

TfL does not have dedicated ‘school buses’ that only transport school children to and from schools around London so the answer to your four queries as below is nil. We do however run general bus routes with additional school day only journeys and bus routes in the 600 number series to serve schools during school start and finish times. These bus routes can be used by everyone. The buses are also normal single or double deck buses, not different in any way from others in the fleet. This provides a greater breadth of service for everyone in London including school children.
