Request ID: FOI-1844-2122 Date published: 03 December 2021
You asked
I am contacting you on behalf of a group of residents in my ward, Alexandra in Haringey, who have enquired Haringey Council about the conversion of existing speed table into speed cushion in Alexandra Park Road, N22 due to the excessive vibrations to nearby houses from it.
Council officers have mentioned that their preferred choice is for sinusoidal hump and that any change would be subject to consultation, including TfL, since Alexandra Park Road is used by the 184 bus.
There are speed cushions a few meters ahead of the speed table and I have seen several speed cushions across Camden so I imagine they are acceptable for TfL, but I wonder if you could point me to some guidance or someone I could discuss to on the preferred type of speed humps?
I have tried to contact our liaison with TfL but have received no response so far.
