I wish to submit the following request under the Freedom Of Information Act, regarding your Twitter account @TfLTrafficNews that provides updates on road delays in London: 1. What organisations send you updates on road closures? (If local councils send you information please summarise as "local councils" rather than name each individually) 2. What organisations do you share road closure and traffic delays data with? 3. Does (2) include any of the following services that use road delays information in their services: Apple, Waze & Google (route navigation in their "maps" smartphone apps) Garmin (traffic delays data in their smartphone app "Smart Link")

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 September 2019 asking for information about our Twitter account @TfLTrafficNews.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. Your questions and our replies are as follows:

1. What organisations send you updates on road closures? (If local councils send you information please summarise as "local councils" rather than name each individually) – Local Councils and utility companies update us on road closures for planned and emergency works.

2. What organisations do you share road closure and traffic delays data with? – We share information with BBC London and INRIX.

3. Does (2) include any of the following services that use road delays information in their services: Apple, Waze & Google (route navigation in their "maps" smartphone apps) - Garmin (traffic delays data in their smartphone app "Smart Link") - Our data is available via the TfL open API, so anyone can use the data, i.e. Waze, Google, Apple Maps.
