Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 1 September 2023 asking for information about TfL ‘Mooring Box’ dimensions

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked – TfL Piers -
Please can you provide details of the dimensions of the 'mooring box' for each of the eight piers you own?

The total mooring length on the outside of each of TfL’s piers is as follows:
 
  • Westminster Pier - 190m
  • Tower Pier – 142m
  • Bankside Pier – 63m
  • Blackfriars Pier – 65m
  • Embankment Pier – 33m
  • Festival Pier – 40m
  • Greenwich Pier – 118m
  • Millbank - 40m

Smaller berthing points are available on the inside of TfL’s piers but due to the navigational constraints accessing the inside of the pier, only smaller workboats or ribs access them.
