TfL Ref: FOI-1803-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25th October 2022 asking for traffic count data for Devonshire Road.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I would like to know the hourly volumes for each different vehicle type (cycles, scooters, taxi cars, LGVs etc.) and whether compliant with ULEZ for 2 junctions in Forest Hill SE23 as measured by the ULEZ cameras on Devonshire Road and South Circular A205
I would like the data for since ULEZ's introduction 25th October 2021 until 25th October 2022 (when available).”
TfL does not hold the requested information. Note that ULEZ cameras do not provide us with traffic count data. Rather, they ensure compliance with the ULEZ scheme via the use of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). If a motorist has paid the daily charge the image is deleted. Traffic count data is collated using Automatic Traffic Counters (ATCs). However, we do not have any ATC data for Devonshire Road. The two nearest ATCs to Devonshire Road are on Honor Oak Park and Waldram Park Road. From these we could extract traffic flow data but this would not be split by vehicle type nor whether the vehicles were compliant with ULEZ.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
