There is no set cost to TfL every time the tube gets delayed as this depends on several factors, such as the type of the incident, day of the week, time of day or location.
Regarding trains delayed due to vomiting in 2017/18, we class this as ‘soiled saloon’ which means the recorded incidents may include other factors that lead to a ‘soiled’ train. The number of soiled saloon incidents for 2017/18 (from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018) on the tube network is 808.
