TfL Ref: FOI-1778-2425
Thank you for your request which we received on 29 August 2024, asking for London Underground station planning and design documents.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.
However, the LUL standard documents are not designed for public consumption, and release of information under the Freedom of Information Act is considered to be to the world at large rather than the individual applicant. These documents contain sensitive information and are exempt from release under the following exemptions contained within the Freedom of Information Act:
- Section 24, which relates to information whereby release would prejudice national security;
- Section 31, which relates to information whereby release would prejudice the prevention of crime, and;
- Section 38 which relates to information whereby release would prejudice health and safety.
The rationale behind these exemptions is explained in more detail at this published FOI response https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-0692-2425
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
