You asked
Hello, I am looking for more information on the refurbishment of the 1992 stock trains on the central line. The things I would like to know include:
1) Will the seat moquette be changed/replaced on the refurbished units? If so, what colour will the new moquette be?
2) Will there be an improvement in audio announcement fidelity/quality on the refurbished trains?
3) Photos or videos of inside a refurbished 1992 stock train, including photos of the new systems installed such as the PIS.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22nd October 2022 asking for information about the refurbishment of the 1992 stock trains on the central line.

I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
In answer to question 1, the moquette will be replaced with new material of the existing design. The only exceptions are the priority seats which will follow the same design and messages as used on the 1996 Tube Stock, so as to improve visibility of priority seats to help improve compliance.
In answer to question 2, the existing speakers will be retained but the rest of the audio system will be upgraded in terms of hardware and the quality of the audio files, which will deliver better sound quality.
In respect of question 3, the information is not held. No train has yet had all works carried out, and so no photos or videos yet exist of a refurbished train.
If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.
