Dear TFL, I am fed up to the back teeth of the daily signal failures on the Piccadilly Line. I want to know how many signal failures have occurred on each of the tube lines over a 12 month period with the latest data possible.

Thank you for your request received on 5 October 2017 asking for information about signal failures on the London Underground.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we [do hold the information you require.
In order to reduce signal failures we are replacing old track, improving drainage, cleaning block joints at regular intervals and improving the insulation between track sections using a new type of rail joint. We are also upgrading signalling systems across the network.
