Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we hold the information you requested. You asked:

I would be grateful if you would supply me with information regarding the taxi delicensing scheme.

(1) How many applications for delicensing have TFL received since the announcement of the new restructured scheme

As of 16 October, we had received 4,575 applications for taxi delicensing.

(2) How many vehicles have been delicensed under this scheme,  if possible can you supply a breakdown of the tier of payments for those delicensed.

As of 16 October, we had made 1, 850 delicensing payments. The payments value of each payment made is detailed in the following table:

As of 16 October, 2,483 applications had been refused either for not meeting the terms and conditions of the scheme, for not responding to requests for information or have chosen not to proceed with the scheme.
