Please can you send me any information you have about the characteristics of cycleway 4 route users? Although cycleway 4 is not complete many cyclists already use the route from Tower Bridge to Greenwich. If you have nothing about cycleway 4 then information on other TfL cycleways would be helpful. Information that shows who uses cycleways that is similar to the survey information you provide about buses. Cycleway 4 is found at https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/improvements-and-projects/cycle-superhighway-4 Public interest I am asking because I believe a buses are used by some particular groups more than cycleways and cycleways by some groups who use buses less. When making huge changes in Southwark to create Cycleway 4 at Surrey Quays many bus users, pedestrians, drivers and local cyclists will be adversely affected. Some may have at least 15 minutes added to their door to door journeys which is approximately 75 hours a year. Scaled up that is a big economic cost. In 2014 you published a very good "bus user survey" and this gives us some idea of ethnicity of bus users and other characteristics including gender and disability http://content.tfl.gov.uk/tfl-bus-users-survey.pdf It is this kind of information I am asking for but about cycleway 4. It is unlikely you would build a cycleway without assessing who will benefit and who may disbenefit. I am particularly interested in the key bus routes 47, 188 and 1 all affected by Southwark Council proposal called The Rotherhithe Movement Plan. To create Cycleway 4 it's proposed to may bus journeys slower on route that provide over 23,000,000 usages and routes that I believe are used by many passengers of minority groups, disabled and the elderly - and children going to school. There is an accumulative effect when it takes longer to cross a route to a bus stop, a longer wait at a bus stop and a longer bus journey time. And the changes may impact adversely on some groups while benefiting others who it is reported lobby the council and TfL. It is in the public interest to know who will suffer disbenefits from Southwark Council's plans and they use your models and data. We need to know if bus users with protected characteristics will be adversely affected. And local residents in a deprived area of already polluted residential streets. We also need to know who is likely to use the new cycleway, their age, ethnicity and gender etc. This information will help us see more clearly the winners and losers from the proposed changes.
