Thank you for your further request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12th October 2022 asking for information about congestion charges.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Note that while daily charges are non-refundable we do have powers of discretion on receipt of refund requests. Between 1 August 2018 and 31 August 2022, 2,814 pre-paid daily congestion charge payments were refunded. This is broken down by month as shown in the table below. To put this information into context we currently receive on average in excess of 44,000 charge payments each day.
