Thank you for your request received by us on 19 and 20 November 2020 asking for information about the number of two-wheel commuter journeys into London.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You initially asked for:

information regarding the number of (2-wheel) commuter journeys into London. That includes Motorcycles and Scooters but NOT cars or bicycles although the specific information may be part of a larger document which includes other forms of transport.

Can you send me a link to this information or a document providing the above information.

After seeking clarification over the period of time this information should cover, you responded with the following:

I would like the information to cover the last few years – let’s say no more than the last 5 five years. It can be a little shorter or longer of that means it is simpler to access.

As I indicated the information can be part of a larger document rather than simply focused on powered 2-wheel journeys

The table below provides the total number of motorcycles crossing the Greater London boundary in the morning peak on an inbound only basis from 2015; please note that the boundary is surveyed every two years.
