Effect of removing pre-Euro 4 petrol vehicles from ULEZ

You asked
Please publish your calculated estimate of the annual percentage reduction in NOX obtained by excluding pre-Euro4 petrol vehicles from the ULEZ and replacing them all by the same number of Euro4+ vehicles with all traffic doing the same mileages. Together with your calculated estimate of the CO2 implications of prematurely scrapping serviceable vehicles. The above data will of course be included in you Environmental Impact Assessment of the ULEZ project so it should be simple to provide.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and our information access policy. 

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. The published Integrated Impact Assessment for the Ultra Low Emission Zone has total percentage reductions for NOx emissions. Please see here. We don’t hold any calculations that split out petrol and diesel vehicles.
