Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17 August 2023 asking for information about the 618 bus route.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
 
Specifically you asked:

“Please can you provide the following details about new route 618 that is listed on the cover page of this PDF under tranche 890A https://content.tfl.gov.uk/uploads/forms/tender-programme-update-july-2023.pdf

The route start and end points

Answer: The “school day only” route is proposed to run between Ivybridge Estate and Osterly Tesco.

The length of the route

Answer: This is estimated to be 8.5 miles on a return journey.

The routing/VIA points

Answer: Route 618 would run from Ivybridge Estate via Twickenham Road, Worton Road, Bridge Road, London Road and Syon Lane. One journey would operate in each peak time to arrive in Osterley at 08:25 and depart at 16:00.

The frequency of the route

Answer: One single journey in the morning and one single journey in the afternoon (to coincide with the end of the school day).

The proposed type of vehicles to be used Ie Single Deckers or Double Deckers

Answer: The proposed buses will be double decker. As the contract has not yet been tendered, this is to be confirmed.
