We answered

Our Ref:         FOI-1652-2021

Thank you for your requests received on 18 November 2020 asking for information about the organisation of senior staff.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.

This request has been sent to our main Transport for London (TfL) FOI address as well as to our Crossrail2 enquiry email address. Much of the information you have requested is published on our website:

https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/organisation-chart
https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/senior-staff

Please note that Crossrail2 is a project at feasibility stage and these positions do not exist in the projects structure.

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

In accordance with our obligations under Data Protection legislation we are withholding the requested contacted details as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle of Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.

This exemption to the right of access to information is an absolute exemption and not subject to an assessment of whether the public interest favours use of the exemption.

If you would like to contact anyone at TfL please do so through the relevant method provided on our website: https://tfl.gov.uk/help-and-contact/.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please feel free to contact me.

If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
