-Following the consultation's close on 29 September 2019; please advise who and what the 'necessary powers' are that TfL will be required to obtain to implement the proposal in Spring 2020.
TfL’s main powers are defined under the Greater London Authority Act 1999.
TfL would use the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to progress a prohibition of a turning movement for traffic.
TfL would prepare and gain approved notifications under the Traffic Management Act. This is part of the London’s strategic road network requirements.
An Equalities Impact Assessment has been undertaken under the provisions of the Equality Act 2010.
The authority for decision making on this scheme primarily sits with the Principal Sponsor.
