Dear Sirs, I make a freedom of information request in respect of the signs on roads entering the congestion charge in support of a dispute regarding a penalty notice that I have received. Having never driven in the congestion zone before, having received this notice and me not seeing any notification, I can’t simply stand by and accept a fine. My car was in the zone (as is evidenced by the photo on the penalty notice). I could not proceed on my planned route as a road could not be accessed. I don’t know for sure the roads that I used. I seek details of all signs present on the entry to the congestion zone that show you are entering the zone. I appreciate that there are many signs, thus I request details of those signs between Cleveland Street and Victoria Street. Please provide details as to whether these are sign posts or just marking on the road.
