FOI request

Request ID: FOI-1627-2021
Date published: 25 November 2020

You asked

I understand that TFL has cameras on Addiscombe Road, Croydon (outside East Croydon Station). Please clarify the following: 1. Is this part of Addiscombe Road a road that is managed by TFL? 2. Does TFL use this camera to issue PCN’s for yellow box junction offences? 3. Does Croydon Council have access to the camera and does it have permission from TFL to issue any PCN from it (such as for a yellow box junction offence) .

We answered

Our ref: FOI-1627-2021/GH

Thank you for your e-mail received on 16 November 2020 asking for information about the TFL cameras on Addiscombe Road, Croydon (outside East Croydon Station).

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require. Transport for London is responsible for the red routes throughout London, which make up the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN).  The road you refer to is not part of the TLRN and therefore TfL does not have cameras outside East Croydon station. We suggest you refer your request to the London Borough of Croydon.

If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
