FOI request detail

Bus shelter at Woodside Park station

Request ID: FOI-1606-2425
Date published: 29 August 2024

You asked

I would like to ask why there is no bus shelter provided at “Woodside Park Underground station” stop. There are always elderly people who are waiting for the 383 bus who find it very difficult to stand for too long and a shelter with seats would be greatly appreciated. If space is an issue, at least a bench can be provided in the entrance hall of the underground station which is very close.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 August 2024 asking for information about Woodside Park bus stop.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. The bus stop is situated at the front of the station where the path width is unfortunately too narrow to have space for a shelter. There are also a number of homeowners windows and doors close to the footway at this location.

If you would like to request a shelter, please contact TfL’s customer services via https://tfl.gov.uk/help-and-contact/. They will liaise with the correct team to deal with your inquiry.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely,
