TfL Ref: FOI-1603-1920
Thank you for your request of 29th August 2019 asking for information about the Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf crossing.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please provide copy of the Programmes and Investment Committee of the Transport For London (TfL) Board Report of their meeting of 21st June 2019 in which decision was made to pause development work on proposals for a walking and cycling bridge between Canary Wharf and Rotherhithe, as stated in publicly available letter from the Deputy Mayor for Transport, Heidi Alexander dated 21st June 2019.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require although note that there was, in fact, no meeting of the Programmes and Investment Committee on 21st June 2019. Rather, that was the date on which a decision was taken by the Chair of the Committee (under “Chair’s Action”, in line with TfL’s Standing Order 114), following consultation with available Committee members. Note further that all papers/minutes of the Programme and and Investment Committee are published online. These can be found via the following link:

The relevant papers to the decision of 21st June 2019 on the Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf crossing can be found in the July 2019 folder – see agenda item 10 and the related appendix 1.
In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
