London Overground Weekend Closures
Request ID: FOI-1601-2021
Date published: 25 November 2020
You asked
This is a general complaint about the availability of the London Overground at weekends - or distinct lack of. I rely on this line a lot for my weekend work and it is very difficult to plan to use it given that it seems to be out of service almost every weekend. The part that affects me the most is between New Cross and Dalston. Could I please get an understanding of what the reason behind this is and how many weekends I can expect this to continue for? As one of the newest lines I would expect the least level of engineering required, especially for one that covers areas barely touched by tube lines - leaving us with very poor transport options.
As a Freedom of information Request, I would like to know the number of weekends there have been closures on this line in the last year, and as a separate FOI request, closures relating to the specific section mentioned above.
