We answered

TfL Ref 1558-2021

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7 November 2020 asking for information about a banned right turn from Southwark Park Road into Jamaica Road.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

You asked:

TfL have recently introduced a banned right turn on Southwark Park Road - SE16 I want to know

1. How many PCNs have been issued since it has been introduced?

2. If none have been issued yet when will you start issuing them?

The scheme for this new banned right turn from Southwark Park Road into Jamaica Road was implemented in October 2020 after some COVID related delays.  TfL is reviewing compliance for this new banned movement and has already provided some additional signage to assist drivers who are less familiar with the change.  There has been no active enforcement of the new restriction yet but we are considering enforcement options to ensure compliance at this new restriction location and we do not have an exact start date at present.

If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.
