TfL Ref: FOI-1550-2122

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18th October 2021 asking for information about the HS1 route between Stratford International and London St Pancras.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

Please can you detail

  1. The TfL/Oyster charging policy in relation to use of HS1 route between Stratford International and London St Pancras on the HS1 route (premium charge and how this is charged in relation to onward TfL journeys)
  2. The revenue to TfL generated by the HS1 premium each year for the last five financial years available
  3. The number of journeys that have incurred the HS1 premium for the last five financial years available.”

TfL does not hold the requested information. This service is operated by South Eastern Railway rather than TfL. The fares charged, which follow instructions given to us by South Eastern, are separate from the charges for connecting travel. There is no revenue generated for TfL and we hold no information relating to an HS1 Premium. You may wish to put your questions to the Department for Transport (DfT) via the following page of its website:

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
