TfL Ref: FOI-1527-2021
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 November 2020.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked:
I would like to know how much money has been spent on installing cycle lanes since May 2016 please.
We aim to meet the Mayor’s Transport Strategy goal to increase the mode share for walking, cycling and public transport in London to 80 per cent by 2041. Creating streets and street networks that encourage walking, cycling and public transport use will reduce car dependency and the health problems it creates.
Please see the table below which provides a summary of costs since 2016. Please note these costs are associated with all aspects of the cycle infrastructure delivery, including design development, consultation, and construction work on site which might include, but not be limited to changes to traffic signals, kerb works, and resurfacing.
