Request ID: FOI-1525-1920
Date published: 05 September 2019
You asked
As regards my request for a list of all stations that have been identified for residential development in their car parks, which should be a straightforward question to address, can you please now treat that as a Freedom of Information request and as part of that provide the likely timescales for development of each car park (including pre-planning, planning application, construction and completion schedules), and what the respective developments are likely to provide in terms of housing, levels of affordability and the measure of affordability.

Thank you for your request received by us on 7 August 2019 asking for a list of all stations that have been identified for residential development in their car parks.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
We are working hard to meet both the cleaner air targets and to deliver the much needed new homes London needs. This includes considering how changes in travel behaviour can contribute towards this. We share the Mayor of London’s aspiration to reduce all non-essential car travel where possible and encourage more people to walk, cycle and take public transport. Through our development programme, we are able to play a role in this with our sites that are highly accessible by public transport. The following developments will have an impact on existing commuter parking, though exact numbers of spaces will be decided in consultation with the local authority. In most circumstances some Blue Badge parking will be retained. Sites include: Holloway Road, Blackhorse Road, Colindale, Sudbury Town, Woodside Park, Arnos Grove, Barkingside Builders Yard, Canons Park Car Park, Cockfosters, Finchley Central, High Barnet, Northwood Town, Rayners Lane and Stanmore.
Please see the attached table which shows each individual development site and its planning status. The table shown is indicative only. Numbers and dates are subject to change following internal discussions and through consultation with our development partners, the GLA, local authorities and communities.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
