Our Ref:         FOI-1519-2021

Thank you for your request asking for information about Gwillim Close.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.

We have provided the information for the trees, hedges, and other vegetation that we are responsible for in the areas listed. To note only East Rochester Road is on the Transport for London Road Network, although we are responsible for some of this where it adjoins the other roads.

You asked for:

This area of trees, hedges, and vegetation is classified as a woodland area. This means that we carry out surveys once a year and any maintenance work that is identified during these is then actioned. We would also action any maintenance work that was notified to us either via a customer complaint, the local borough or other stakeholders. We would also action any defects that were noted from the highway inspections or network drives that occur on the A2 East Rochester Way more regularly.

2. Records of all Maintenance records for the Trees, hedges and any other vegetation your are responsible for Gwillim Close Sidcup DA15; Tyrrell Avenue Sidcup DA16; Park Mead Sidcup DA15; Days Lane Sidcup DA15; Shorne Close Sidcup DA15; The Oval Sidcup DA15, East Rochester Way Sidcup DA15 and Leechcroft Avenue Sidcup DA15 from 2014 to present;

Please find attached our records of maintenance observations from April 2014. A risk based approach is taken to determine which works are instructed and which works are monitored through highway inspections. The spreadsheet is a technical report, further explanations can be provided if required.

In addition to the works instructed on the attached spreadsheets there were also further works carried out as below:

• February 2020 – Ref S7-HTO/531 – TfL felled the trees and stumps following the subsidence complaint from a member of the public
• June 2019 – Ref S7_HTO/131 - 38 Gwillim Close - Cut back overhanging branches back of the private Garden

• October 2017 – Ref S5_HTO/266 – A2 Park Mead (Local lane) – Cut back Foliage that was overgrown to the kerb line

Plus we have one further outstanding works order that is currently in progress awaiting a work scheduled date.
