Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 August 2023 asking for information about bus route X26, which could be renamed SL7, since it is part of the Superloop network of services – a proposed network of ten express bus routes across the network. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked:
What is the planned cost of installing the luggage racks?
The specification of any luggage racks has yet to be agreed; and therefore no costs have been agreed in this regard.
How many vehicles are planned to receive the racks?
Thirteen.
Will the luggage racks be of a different size to those currently utilised on the X26 buses?

How long will these vehicles be used on the route?
We can advise that this will be until at least the end of the current contract.
Will the X26/SL7 receive an extension of any length on its current contract with Metrobus (Go-Ahead), which is due to end in early 2024.
The current contract for route SL7/X26 expires in April 2025, having been extended earlier.
