Hi,
I wondered if you’d be able to help.
I am looking for a figure in terms of TFL cctv systems in use. Then broken down into cctv, anpr, body warn cameras and anything else within this camera/surveillance field.
I viewed https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/privacy-and-cookies/cctv#on-this-page-0 however there is no numerical information there.

Thank you for your request received by us on 11 October 2021 asking for information about Transport for London’s CCTV cameras.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. you asked for:

Transport for London (TfL) own 4,559 Body Worn Video (BWV) cameras. They are used for the safety and reassurance of our customers and staff. BWVs can help deter aggressive behaviour towards our staff, and support our employees to feel safe at work.
There are approximately 15,576 CCTV cameras in London Underground train stations
We also operate a network of 1,544 Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras to monitor and enforce the following Road User Charging schemes:
The Central London Congestion Charging Scheme, implemented in February 2003.
The Central London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), introduced in April 2019.
The Greater London Low Emission Zone (LEZ), launched in February 2008 and covers the whole of Greater London.
We can also advise that around 900 cameras have been installed in the new Ultra Low Emission Zone area. The aim of ULEZ is to improve air quality in London by deterring the most polluting vehicles from driving in the area, whilst its enforcement is designed to incentivise drivers to change their behaviour in order to meet the required emissions standards.
Please also note that in regards to the London Buses network, the vehicles and their onboard CCTV systems are owned and managed by various sub-contracted operating companies, rather than Transport for London.
