Trains Manager 025534

Request ID: FOI-1499-1819
Date published: 26 September 2018

You asked

I recently went through a recruitment process and was selected for a permanent Trains Manager position. I was placed on a waiting list along with 3 other people that were in my training group. I was told today that at least one person from my group has been placed in a position and that further placements will be based on scores in the recruitment process. Under the Freedom of Information Act, I am kindly requesting my scores for all exercises of this Trains Manager campaign. I am also requesting the scores of the other people in my training group and where in rank on that list. I know the act precludes giving identity of people but it is fully within its scope to provide the scores for transparency purposes.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I am kindly requesting my scores for all exercises of this Trains Manager campaign. I am also requesting the scores of the other people in my training group and where in rank on that list.

Please find attached the scores from the recent re-sit assessment. There were 6 candidates that were re-assessed for this role. The spreadsheet shows how we ranked the candidates in order of how well they performed. This re-sit was to look at the one exercise they had previously failed. In order to ensure consistency between the first assessment centre and this re-sit assessment centre, we reviewed the scores across the 3 occasions they took this exercise. It is important to note that the marking is not about total scores but about meeting the bench mark for each competency.

Your request for your own scores is being handled separately as a Subject Access Request (SAR) in accordance with the GDPR.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
