Request ID: FOI-1458-1920
Date published: 09 September 2019

You asked

I would like to request details regarding ownership, maintenance and permission granted (if any) of the area outside Redbridge station: (All pictures in the attachments have all been obtained via Redbridge council website) In attachment 'signage'. who owns the large black lamp post in the middle of the image (next to bus stop)? Is this on council or TFL owned land? Who maintains this post and attached signage? If you do not own the attached signage have you given permission for this to be attached to the post? Do you endorse the parking signage attached which does not show any council logo? Do you maintain the two smaller posts in the picture? Are these smaller posts owned by the council? Were they installed by the council or TFL? If so on what date? If not, who by and date? Do you endorse the parking signage attached which does not show any council logo? In document 'area' who owns the land in the picture (lighter shade of grey, arrow points to area)? If it is council owned have you given permission to a parking company to enforce restrictions in this area? I would like a copy of this agreement if such an agreement is indeed in place. Have you received complaints about said parking company and if so how many and what was the nature? Who is responsible for black bollards, footpath and kerbs around this area? Have you agreed to camera's being used in this area by an outside parking company? How is the data taken by these camera's stored and disposed of? Do council or TFL employed parking enforcement officers also enforce the lightly shaded area in question? Please answer all of these points as quickly and specifically as possible. Also please see attachment regarding the response from Redbridge Council in relation to this matter.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 August 2019 asking for information about Redbridge station.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.

TfL owns the area of land in question, please see attached a map of our landholdings at Redbridge station. We have granted a license to A&J Travel service to park up to four cars on the station forecourt. TfL does not hold information on the signage in question.
