Request ID: FOI-1455-2122 Date published: 22 October 2021
You asked
Ha ha 77%. Ha ha ha ha ha. Okay.
And also you used the word there “claim”. That does not mean the majority of your customers wear a mask which is what you report on Twitter.
Please could you answer me:
What was your sample size?
What was the audience of this survey and how were they selected?
And where does the survey take place?
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-1455-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6th October 2021 asking for information about the recent Customer Pulse survey into mask-wearing on TfL services.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
What was your sample size? What was the audience of this survey and how were they selected? And where does the survey take place?
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. 843 Londoners who travel on public transport participated in the survey. This was out of 1000 Londoners, representative of the 16+ London population, who were selected by our research agencies panel partner. The survey is completed online by the participants and constitutes a questionnaire taking around 15 minutes to complete.
