To whom it may concern, I respectfully request the actual mileages/metreages recorded for all stations, junctions, depots and tunnel portals including change of mileage/metreage, including interfaces between Network Rail & Crossrail. A PDF or Excel spreadsheet format would be ideal. I have been unable to locate this information on your website to date. Many thanks in advance.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 14 September 2022 asking for information about the Elizabeth Line.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) are obliged to publish and maintain a Sectional Appendix required by Rail Industry Standard RIS-3215-TOM.
Part of the Sectional Appendix is to publish the route information in your request as Table A Diagrams.
Network Rail (NR) have an already established public facing website that hosts all the Sectional Appendix information for the UK Rail Industry.
RfLI entered into a SLA with NR to host the Crossrail Central Operating Section (CCOS) on NR’s National Electronic Sectional Appendix (NESA).
RfLI maintain the CCOS Sectional Appendix content via RSSB Rail Notices Published in Weekly Operating Notices (WON), subsequently NR Planning and Publications update the content hosted on NESA.

It should be noted that NR is responsible for the following data published to NESA.
NR Western Route; Reading & Heathrow
NR Anglia Route Shenfield
NR Kent Route Abbey Wood

CCOS – Network Rail boundary Metreage Datums, LORs & ELRs
The CCOS – NR boundary areas are particularly complex, as there are 9 different ELRs and 7 different ways for measuring distance dependent on the LOR, ELR and Line.
