We have been working closely with our contractor under TfL's new delivery framework to finalise the preparatory work for the Mansell Street scheme. Further survey work has revealed a number of unchartered utility plant which will require further investigation to ensure that we can proceed with works safety and avoid disruption to utility services. We are hoping to start construction in the new year, but we may encounter some delays due to these unexpected challenges. We are working closely with our contractors to confirm a start date and will communicate this as soon as we can. We are committed to delivering this scheme, as part of a programme of safer cycle infrastructure, as soon as it is possible in line with the Mayor’s commitments to deliver Healthy Streets and Vision Zero.
