Request ID: FOI-1422-2223 Date published: 22 September 2022
You asked
Good Afternoon, I was wondering about your Ibus annoucemennts and was wondering about the following:
1: What are the sizes of the next stop screens inside the bus?
2: What company make those said screens?
3: Are you still doing the CD's which had all the annoucements on? because I heard its now a file and no longer a CD. Is this the case?
4: If so, will it be possible to receive a copy of all the annoucements which can be heard on Londons Buses?
Thank you and have a good day :)

Our ref: FOI-1422-2223/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12 September 2022 asking for Ibus Annoucements and Next stop annoucements.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
There are two types of OBNSS (on board next stop sign) – a short and long version. The short version is for double-decker buses on the lower deck behind the stairwell and the longer OBNSS for the upper deck in double-decker and all the other bus types. The OBNSS itself is fixed on each side with two secure screws on the bracket. The bracket itself allows mounting of the OBNSS either back to a wall or top to a ceiling, by means of having two holes at the back as well as on the top side.
The sign manufacturer for the TFL OBNSS is Hanover display limited, and the sizes of the signs are:
67.5cm x 9cm x 5.5cm
58cm x 9cm x 5.5cm
Copies of announcements are no longer provided in CD format. We are arranging for you to be given access to these files and will contact you again when this has been completed.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
