Can you tell me how many applications you have had from third parties over each of the last 10 years to hand out leaflets (or other publications) on your stations, and for each year how many of these were approved.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12 August 2019 asking for information about applications to distribute leaflets on stations.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Leafleting bookings for each year (a ‘booking’ is for one approved event - it can be for more than one day; five days is the maximum.)
April 2017 – December 2017: 8 bookings from five brands
January 2018 – December 2018: 41 bookings from six brands
January 2019 – July 2019: 11 bookings from four brands
Information above is from April 2017 when we took the management of leaflets in house. The third party who managed this prior to April 2017 were not contracted to keep this information.
All applications we received for bookings were approved.
There is also one charitable leafletting linked to ‘Wrap up London’ which takes place in the first week of November and is not included in the figures above.
