Hi, please can you send me the the total number of staff per underground station, thier salaries including numbers of supervisors.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 31 July 2023 asking for information about salaries.  

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.

We do not record the information you have requested by underground station. This information is broken down by cover groups. These cover groups are responsible for 'areas' and these ‘areas’ can cover several stations.

However, this information is exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of the FOI Act, as individuals could be identified by disclosing their locations. Disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle of Article 5 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
