Dear Transport for London, Can you please send to me the dates of any meetings you have held during 2017 with: * Camden Borough Council * Islington Borough Council in regard of Camden Road (a TfL controlled road) and potential improvements. You can restrict the search to the most relevant section of TfL, for instance that deals with road redesigns for cycling. If the search still appears to be too onerous and beyond cost / time limits, please reduce the period so that it can be completed. I understand that the content of any such meetings is likely to fall within the scope of “policy formulation” exemptions from FoI, which is why I am asking for dates rather than documents associated with any such meetings. However, whether or not plans exist, and to what extent they are being actively considered, is a matter of public interest, especially following the recent death of Ardian Zagani on this stretch of road. Furthermore, knowledge that discussions have or have not taken place should not impact on TfL and the council’s freedom to conduct future discussions in a private and unrestricted manner.

We have reviewed our records of meetings with the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington regarding cycling improvements on Camden Road. One such meeting took place on Wednesday 18 January with the London Borough of Islington.

Our Cycling Strategy Team have also met with the London Borough of Camden on 6^th July 2017 to discuss the top 25 connections from the Strategic Cycling Analysis which include a link between Camden Town and Tottenham Hale which could follow an alignment along Camden Road, and with the London Borough of Islington on 4^th August 2017.
