Our Ref:         FOI-1360-2122

Thank you for your request received on 28 September 2021 asking for information about Transport for All (TfA).

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked:

•           How much has TfL issued (in £) to Transport For All in the passed 6 years?
•           What are the dates on the sums given to them?
•           What was the purpose and defined agreement for the use of those funds?
•           What dates have TFL met with TFall in the passed 3 years
•           What information gathered by TFall has been disclosed to you and what is the nature and purpose of such disclosures?

•           We work closely with TfA and they represent an important section of our customer base in London, as well as those who travel to and from London. TfA play a critical role in challenging us, and the policies and programmes we develop, to be more accessible, inclusive and meet the needs of disabled and older people who use London’s transport network.
•
•           TfA are a member of our Inclusive Transport Forum, who meet quarterly, but sometimes additional meetings are called, and our Healthy Streets Advisory Group, which is convened every eight weeks. The Inclusive Transport Forum brings together a range of organisations representing London’s diverse communities and seeks their feedback on various policies and programme. The most recent session in July covered our pandemic recovery, various road user charging schemes and the role of the bus network. The Healthy Streets Advisory Group focuses on our work to deliver more walking, cycling and bus infrastructure across London’s streets to increase the number of people making sustainable journeys.

Outside of these specific formats, we will engage with a member of their team in some way several times a month. This may be via email, telephone or a virtual or in person meeting, and covers a wide range of topics. Most recently, some of the areas covered include:

•           E-scooter trial
•           Inclusive streets
•           Consultation and engagement processes
•           Step-free access
•           The role of TfL’s Independent Disability Advisory Group
•           Changes to bus services

Representatives from TfA may also be present at other meetings we attend. TfA often share their policy positions with us and respond to various public consultations, for example we have met to discuss their recently published Pave the Way campaign and report.

In the light of the range of engagement described above, we do not hold information recording every date on which we have met TfA representatives in the last three years.

We have not provided TfA any funds in the last six years.

If this is not the information you are looking for please feel free to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
