Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You specifically asked: Approximately how many next bus SMS text requests are received each year?
Please find the numbers as below.
August 2022 to August 2023 = 2.08 million messages August 2023 to August 2024 = 2.4 million messages
So in summary we receive in the region of 2.2 million SMS per year for Bus SMS Live Arrivals information.
