Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold / hold some of the information you require. You asked:
Please could you provide the amount of 18+ Student Oyster photocard issued per institution for the last 3 years (2019, 2020, 2021. Please include the name institutions in questions and their address. I.e. Institution A, issued 30 in 2019, 40 in 2020 & 25 in 2022. institution B etc.
Please find attached a list of all currently active establishments that have issued ten or more 18+ Student Oyster photocards in the years requested and includes the total amount of cards issued in those years.
Some institutions within the scope of the 18+ scheme, will likely include young people with special needs and/or non-UK nationals such as refugees. We therefore consider that schools that issued less than ten photocards are exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of the FOI Act as it would breach the first data protection principle. Disclosure of these small figures could potentially identify specific individuals and we have therefore excluded them from our response. This information constitutes sensitive personal data as defined in section 2 of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). These individuals would have a reasonable expectation that the information would not be disclosed in a manner that would identify any particular person and it would be unfair to them to do so.
Please note the address details for the establishments may relate to the London Campus only for some of the establishments listed rather than a more central address.
