Please could we receive data regarding Tube performance on the London Underground network. Specifically, we would like to know the Number of Passengers in Excess of Capacity of every train on the northern line throughout the day from June 1st 2018 to May 31st 2018.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 August 2019 asking for information about ‘Passengers in Excess of Capacity’ volumes on the Northern line

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. 

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested as ‘PIXC’ (Passengers In Excess of Capacity) is a National Rail concept that does not apply to London Underground. 

We do however monitor crowding at an overall level but we do not record the crowding on specific trains in the same way National Rail train services do.
